These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and TruScore ("we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the TruScore browser extension, website (gettruscore.com), APIs, and associated services (collectively, the "Service").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use and uninstall the extension.
2. Description of the Service
TruScore provides automated epistemic evaluation, 1–10 confidence scoring, claim highlighting, and Prompt Doctor prompt revisions for AI outputs across supported web interfaces (including ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot). The software runs primarily on-device inside your web browser sandbox to ensure maximum data privacy.
3. License & Permitted Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TruScore grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service for personal or internal business purposes:
- Personal Licenses: Valid for individual use across your personal devices.
- Business Team Licenses: Valid for the designated seat volume purchased by your organization.
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute, resell, or attempt to circumvent license verification, quota tracking, or security mechanisms of the Service.
4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellations
4.1 Subscription Plans
We provide a Free Tier (10 audits every 24 hours) and paid recurring subscription tiers (Plus Plan offering 300 audits/month, and Pro Plan offering 1,500 audits/month and Domain Rigor Personas). Annual billing plans include a 2-month discount.
4.2 Billing & Payment Processing
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis via secure payment processors (such as Stripe or Lemon Squeezy). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring renewals until canceled.
4.3 Cancellation & Self-Service Billing Portal
You can cancel your subscription at any time with zero cancellation penalties via our Customer Billing Portal or by emailing [email protected]. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing cycle.
4.4 Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time paid subscriptions if you are unsatisfied with the Service. To request a refund, contact [email protected] within 14 days of your initial purchase.
5. Disclaimers & Nature of AI Verification
TruScore is an analytical advisory tool, not a guarantor of absolute truth. Artificial intelligence language models generate probabilistic outputs that may contain subtle inaccuracies, outdated facts, or hallucinations. While TruScore employs rigorous epistemic heuristics, structural grounding algorithms, and pattern recognition, we cannot guarantee 100% factual perfection.
The Service does not provide legal, financial, medical, engineering, or professional advice. Users must exercise independent verification and professional judgement before acting on AI-generated or TruScore-scored outputs.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
TruScore, its proprietary Truth Engine™, heuristic algorithms, trademarks, logos, visual interfaces, and codebases are the exclusive intellectual property of TruScore and its licensors, protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall TruScore, its directors, employees, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount paid by you to TruScore in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Third-Party Websites & LLM Platforms
TruScore operates as a browser extension on third-party web platforms (such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Anthropic's Claude, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Microsoft. Third-party platform updates may occasionally impact DOM selectors, which our team addresses via over-the-air selector updates.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to paid features or license keys in cases of confirmed fraud, chargebacks, automated abusive scraping, or material breach of these Terms.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect product updates, regulatory requirements, or business practices. Significant revisions will be announced on our website with an updated effective date.
